Hello Southside family.
For some time, we have been looking for someone to fill our Vice President coaching positions at Southside. It has always been our mission to create a program that focuses not only on the development of the player’s skills individually, but helps them become a stronger team player while learning to respect and love the game. I am very excited to announce that we now have our new Vice President of Recreation, Chip Hall.
Some of his duties will include creating a training program for our recreation players to help improve individual and team play and work with our coaches to ensure they all get training to better help the players grow.
Chip started playing recreational soccer at a young age in North Carolina and soon joined competitive soccer along with playing high school soccer. Chip moved to Florida and continued playing club and high school soccer in St Petersburgh and Clearwater. He then went to college and continued playing for Mercer University in Georgia on scholarship as the team captain. Chip’s coaching career began in 1989 as an assistant at St Petersburgh High school and then at Mecklenbugh High in North Carolina. In 2004 he was a head coach for SPR (Boys recreation league) in St Petersburg. He earned his National D coaching license with the Florida Youth Soccer Association in 2006. He continued with SPR (Boys recreation league) running their All Stars team. From 2008 – 2011, he was the head coach/trainer for the Pinellas Park Youth Soccer Association (competitive boys) and from 2012 – 2016, he assisted at PCU and was also the Head trainer for PCU Development Program. Please join us with welcoming Chip to our Southside family.
